Ayanna-Rose Gray

Douglas Anderson is a school where arts and academics meet in excellence. Ayanna has been an integral member of the school campus academically and artistically. She is compassionate, ambitious, and charismatic. She is the ideal artist and student who continuously goes above and beyond expectations.

Within her Piano arts area, Ayanna has taken on multiple leadership roles and won countless awards. Ayanna was the sophomore President of her arts area to help lead and create opportunities. She was inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society and has supported multiple music arts areas through this organization. Ayanna was chosen as a Piano and Band director for the student curated performance called Black Art. Every aspect of Black Art is created by students.

Ayanna is also dedicated to her community. She loves volunteering at the Jacksonville Humane Society. Ayanna has shared her artistic skills by volunteering with Beaches Fine Arts. Ayanna has been an active member of her youth group at Church and has completed many community service activities. She was chosen as the social media director for her youth group.

Ayanna has been active in her Girl Scout group, winning multiple awards for supporting the community. She was chosen as a Youth Leadership Jax participant to help discuss concerns within our city’s community and advocate from a youth’s perspective. Ayanna is also a leader for United Diversity through Metrotown Institute of One Jax, where she uses her voice to support diversity. Ayanna has done so much work for the community and managed to work a part-time job at Topgolf and Home Depot.
